ABSTRACT This article describes evidence-based strategies that are efficient for providing feedback to students in online courses. Strategies are grouped in categories including course design, faculty roles, and student participation. Integrating diverse feedback methods into course design is a way to promote efficiency in online courses while allowing students to acquire and learn professional skills such as self-reflection and peer review.
