Dear Reader,

In late August, The New York Times reported on the growing role of consultants who specialize in advising architects and developers regarding sustainable design and LEED certification. According to a Green Building Council executive, LEED projects are under way in 75 countries. The Times reported that the GBC's membership included 1,590 consultants at the end of July, up from 679 just 19 months earlier. And since 2005, the number of LEED certified buildings has quadrupled, from 404 to 1,705.
