New to SafetyTech is the FlexAir, designed to protect law enforcement officers, crime scene and forensic investigators from airborne pathogens. Bruce Schorer, vice president of sales and marketing, describes it as a lightweight (less than 1.3 pounds) Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) utilizing two HEPA filters that protect against airborne pathogens. The system can also be converted to three chemical cartridges, used to protect against organic vapors, such as decomposition, as well as pathogens.
