Wild coach Jacques Lemaire said he was back at Xcel Energy Center at 8 a.m. Saturday for preseason practice with prospects, just hours after he and the team returned to the Twin Cities after a 4-3 loss in Chicago on Friday.
If he was tired, it didn't show.
Lemaire stayed a little extra after Saturday's early afternoon session with the top club. He spent about 30 minutes after formal practice ended with defensemen Tomas Mojzis, Brent Burns and Nick Schultz and forward Craig Weller.
Lemaire didn't address the extra time specifically but said that, at this time of year, any little bit extra helps.
