A subsidiary of NewMarket Corp. said Tuesday it bought a North American fuel additives business General Electric Co.s GE Water & Process Technologies unit.

Afton Chemical Corp., which supplies gasoline and diesel performance additives, didnt disclose financial terms of the deal. The company said the acquisition will expand its offerings to the diesel fuel market.
