Restaurants in Connecticut have taken eco-friendly steps by reducing paper consumption and switching to recycled paperboard containers. Some of these steps have even saved restaurants money, reports the Hartford Courant.
Coyote Blue in Middletown, Conn., made the switch a few years ago to recycled coated paperboard from Styrofoam. Other restaurants like Max Fish, of Glastonbury, Conn., is curbing the consumption of paper by adopting a paperless computer screen system that allows staffto see what meals are needed without using paper.
