FEBRUARY IS CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) MONTH! THIS IS A TIME to celebrate and bring awareness to CTE. It provides a perfect opportunity to highlight your programs to policymakers who may not be familiar with CTE or do not understand its potential. Despite the best efforts of CTE advocates to communicate the promise that CTE holds for all students, there are those who continue to believe that these programs are only for low-performing students, that most CTE students do not attend postsecondary education, and that CTE courses are not rigorous.
