St John's College won the prestigious SACS water polo tournament in Cape Town at the weekend for the fourth time in six years.
They were not winners over the last two years but, following their victory in the KES tournament earlier this year, they have shown that they are once again the top water polo school in the country.
St Stithians had performed well against St John's in pre-season warm-up matches, and were hoping that this might be their year at SACS. They met St John's in the quarterfinals but were comfortably beaten, 6-1.
