Alstom, Transmashholding form JV for railcar bid; mull partnership
MOSCOW. Oct 6 (Interfax) - Alstom Transport and Transmashholding (TMH), Russia's leading manufacturer of rail and subway rolling stock, have signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic partnership, TMH said in a statement.
"The document covers cooperation between the companies and gives Alstom Transport the opportunity to acquire 25% plus one share in TMH following an audit and the signing of a final agreement," the statement says.
They will also create a joint venture to that will bid in a tender to deliver double-decker passenger railcars.
