COLUMBIA, Maryland, October 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Orthocrat Ltd., announced today that the George Washington University Hospital has purchased TraumaCad(TM), a web-based pre-operative planning and digital templating software solution.
Orthopedic surgeons have traditionally used X-ray films and acetate overlays to determine the size of prosthetic implants when planning for joint-replacement surgery. With the adoption of digital imaging technologies for x-rays, TraumaCad will allow the orthopaedic surgeon to perform preoperative planning from any computer, with greater accuracy.
