The Gilmore's May-to-October season has created the automobile museum equivalent of the annual model change. This year's features include more postwar cars on exhibit, a second library, Model T driving lessons and artifacts from the Lincoln administration building.
The distinctive sight of the museum's villagelike cluster of barns and historic buildings can be obscured by the summer corn crop of surrounding farms in Hickory Corners, Mich. (just north of Kalamazoo). First-time visitors driving there should be on the lookout for a new double-sided billboard with Norman Rockwell-esque illustrations.
