FITCHBURG - A landlord whose property police say has become a haven for gang and drug activity was arraigned yesterday on a criminal charge of keeping a noisy and disorderly house.
Kai W. Kunz, 44, whose listed mailing address is a post office box in Worcester, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was released on personal recognizance, according to Fitchburg District Court records. Mr. Kunz was ordered to return to court Nov. 6 for a pretrial hearing.
Mr. Kunz called the allegations "ridiculous" in a brief telephone interview yesterday and said he used to manage the building at 348 Elm St. but no longer did.
