TMH to build railcars, locomotives in Kazakhstan, possibly with Alstom

MOSCOW. Oct 8 (Interfax) - Transmashholding (TMH) plans to set up production of passenger cars and electric freight locomotives in Kazakhstan, the Russian railroad engineering company's deputy general director, Anatoly Meshcheryakov told Interfax.

"The potential partner in this project will presumably be Alstom," he said.

This project was discussed Tuesday at a meeting between THM chairman Andrei Bokarev and Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov.
