Article: Diller moving aspiring TV network to L.A. (Barry Diller-controlled Silver King Communications Inc.)

Los Angeles may soon be home to yet another television network, as the Barry Diller-controlled Silver King Communications Inc. plans to move its corporate headquarters from St. Petersburg, Fla., to the L.A. area.

The search for a site is currently under way, said a Diller spokesman, noting the headquarters should be operational by the first quarter of 1996.

Silver King owns and operates 12 independent UHF broadcast television stations in eight of the 12 largest markets in the United States, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Locally, the company owns and operates KHSC-TV, Channel 46 in Ontario.
