Sep. 9--One of Japan's leading independent software companies is setting up a research center in Pittsburgh as part of plans to take its products global.
Justsystem Corp., with revenues of $270 million, is the market leader in Japanese word processing software. Its Ichitaro software was the first practical Japanese language word processor, and its JustNet multimedia on-line service is one of Japan's fastest-growing Internet services.
The company is spreading its wings worldwide and hopes that its Justsystem Pittsburgh Research Center will help in the development of new products.
