Sep. 10--Little more than a year after resuming nonstop service between the Twin Cities and Tokyo with a single weekly flight, Northwest Airlines said Monday it will begin daily nonstop service Dec. 1.
The Eagan-based carrier has focused more on Detroit for its high-profile international flights in recent years, having launched the only nonstop service from the U.S. to Beijing from that city.
Northwest has been offering four weekly flights from the Twin Cities to Tokyo since July.
