Novak Biddle Venture Partners has led a $7.4 million round of venture capital for its portfolio company Spectrum K12 School Solutions Inc.
Bethesda-based Novak Biddle was joined by Capital Trust Ventures, Comerica Bank and newcomer MMV Financial Inc.
The Towson, Md.-based company said it will use the funds to expand its student achievement management software products. Spectrum was formerly named 4GL School Solutions Inc.
The software, which manages individualized learning programs for special education students, has reached 5 million children in 29 states.
