When my partner and I took vows and received the church's blessing, I was transformed
BETWEEN MY OWN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH'S VOTE REjecting ordination of gays and lesbians and the House vote against same-sex marriages, I feel beaten up. The one-two punch came early in July. Had I been the victim of a street gay-bashing. I would be able to seek comfort from my church and legal redress from the government. When the gay-bashers are my own church and government, I'm bewildered, wondering where to turn.
