SKOKIE, Ill.--Tanita Corp., a bathroom scale vendor, is targeting the booming home health care market with a new product category designed to measure body fat ratios while also calculating standard weight. And instead of only targeting the bathroom scale market, the body-fat monitor also is drawing attention from fitness and exercise buyers.
According to Tanita's research, a paradox exists among the American consumer population.
