Bruce Workman is a master, seven times over, of his craft.
Workman is certified as a master cheesemaker for seven varieties of cheese, more than anyone in the United States (and he's going for two more). He's especially renowned for creating an award-winning Old World-style Emmentaler (Swiss) cheese through his Edelweiss Creamery Cooperative in Monticello.
"He is the nicest man, and the Emmentaler is just truly a great cheese. The taste ... the appearance ... the workmanship in this cheese is worth its weight in gold," said Jennifer De Bolt, general manager at the Old Fashioned.
