Oct. 10--FRACKVILLE -- The Schuylkill Mall is looking to expand its four-screen United Artists theater to a 10- to 12-screen theater in 2009, Elaine Maneval, the mall's general manager, said Thursday.

"We are aggressively negotiating a lease with a national theater chain to construct a multi-screen, stadium seating theater. It will be additional construction around the existing theater. We anticipate it will be open next summer," Maneval said.

Michael Danchak, who co-owns the Angela Triplex Theatre in Coaldale with his wife, Deborah, doesn't think it's going to happen.
