The Herbalife Family Foundation launched a Casa Herbalife program at the Asociacion La Buena Esperanza (ALABE) that will allow school administrators to serve healthier meals to impoverished children. The school is in Villa El Salvador, a desert city south of Lima (see also Herbalife Family Foundation).
In addition to serving meals, the HFF grant will help ALABE provide food rations to families in need and educational trainings on health and nutrition. Currently, there are 150 children who receive their meals from the school, which opened in 2002.
