N. PALM BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 17, 1996--Golden Bear Golf Inc. (NASD:JACK) announced Tuesday that it has acquired five golf practice centers for a total of $10.4 million.
The facilities are located in Dayton, Ohio, Columbus, Ohio, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Carrollton, Texas and Moreno Valley, Calif. In four of the acquisitions, land improvements and assets were purchased with the underlying land subject to ground leases. With respect to the Moreno Valley facility, Golden Bear Golf leased both the land and the improvements. Each of the newly acquired facilities will undergo the appropriate remodeling and operate under the Golden Bear Golf Center name. ...
