The State Duma on Friday returned to the second reading of a bill passed yesterday in a move to increase guaranteed compensation for bank deposits by individuals to 700,000 rubles from 400,000 rubles.
After it passed the second reading, the bill was officially approved in the third and final reading.
Bank deposits of up to 700,000 rubles by individuals will now be fully compensated.
