Bahrain named GCC's most 'sophisticated' financial market
Dubai, Oct 10 (PTI) A World Economic Forum (WEF) report has recognised Bahrain's financial market as the most "sophisticated" in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region based on an assessment of its ability to provide high levels of prosperity to their citizens.
The Global Competitiveness Report, published annually since 1979, ranks Bahrain at 14th out of 134 countries in the 'eighth pillar: Financial market sophistication' placing the Kingdom well ahead of its GCC competitors: Qatar (22), UAE (41), Oman (50), Kuwait (51) and Saudi Arabia (73).
