A recent poll found that 60 percent of Christians believe that America is headed toward a depression.
The reactions of about 1,200 Christians were collected by ChristiaNet.com.
Many Christians attributed the current rocky financial situation to greed and a departure from Godly principles, according to a news release about the poll.
"If this country would get back to being a Christian nation and humble themselves and pray and seek the Lord's face, then God said he would heal our land," one respondent said.
