The two Old Dominion professors who wrote "Guesstimation: Solving the World's Problems on the Back of a Cocktail Napkin," will be at the Woman's Club of Portsmouth during cocktail hour on Friday .
Physics Professor Lawrence Weinstein and math Professor John Adam will talk about the value of learning to estimate, whether you're buying materials to build a bookcase or trying to predict the time it will take to get through the Midtown Tunnel.
They will be at the Woman's Club event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The $20 admission fee will include a light supper, wine, beer and soft drinks. Proceeds will go to the renovation fund for the club building at 304 Sycamore St. in ...
