BERMUDA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 18, 1996--Pacific Basin Bulk Shipping Limited ("Pacific Basin") announced that the amalgamation of Pacific Basin with a subsidiary of Konsortium Perkapalan Berhad ("Konsortium") was completed on September 17, 1996. Pacific Basin has ceased quotation of its shares on the Nasdaq National Market and the Oslo Stock Exchange and is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Konsortium. Below is a copy of the release made by Konsortium to the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in connection with the amalgamation.
