New Haven, Conn. -- Mary E. Miller, Sterling Professor of the History of Art and master of Saybrook College, has been named dean of Yale College by President Richard C. Levin.
"Mary has devoted her entire career to Yale and has been an exemplary academic citizen," Levin said. "In her nine years as master of Saybrook, Mary has been a conspicuous advocate for her undergraduates and has been, like so many masters, one who has cared for the community in challenging as well as celebratory times."
