EuroChem acquires 75% in sugar beet seed plant
MOSCOW. Oct 13 (Interfax) - EuroChem has acquired a 75% stake in the AgroSem sugar beet seed manipulation plant (Belorechensk, Krasnodar Territory), the company said in a statement.
The acquisition of the share packet came to 132 million rubles.
AgroSem is Russia's only plant of this type. The facility was founded in 2000 and has imported and distributed the seed production of KWS, one of the world leaders on this market. AgroSem's productive capacity will allow for EuroChem to corner up to 25% of the Russian sugar beet seed market.
