A campaign opposing EU legislation that could potentially ban as much as 80% of pesticides currently on the market is gathering pace. Farmers Weekly, the Leading farming industry magazine in the UK, has launched a Save Our Sprays campaign in an attempt to influence the EU parliament and lessen the proposed regulations impact.
Philip Clarke, Europe editor of Farmers Weekly, says: 'We believe that enacting legislation without a proper impact assessment is wrong, and judging active ingredients by hazard rather than actual risk is wrong.'
