A HIGH-LIVING fraudster who swindled dozens of vulnerable debtors made almost pounds 438,000 from crime, a judge has ruled.

John Peers' criminal gains dwarf the tens of thousands of pounds which investigators were previously able to pin to his debt-management fraud.

He has been ordered to pay the state almost pounds 150,000 - of which more than pounds 56,000 is expected to be paid in compensation to 26 victims.

Peers, 37, was a company director who cheated his clients after offering the answers to their financial prayers.
