NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Orange County Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealers have teamed up with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for the 1996 Orange County "Race for the Cure." The event will be held September 22 at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, near the Pacific Mutual Building. An estimated 14,000 people will be participating in the race to support the fight against breast cancer. Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) is a national sponsor of the "Race for the Cure," a series of 5K runs/walks held across the country to help raise funds to expand breast cancer awareness, screening, education, and research.
