STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Telia AB, Sweden's leading telecommunications services provider, has selected Lucent Technologies to expand its ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) voice and data transmission network. The agreement is valued at US$ 12 million.
Under the agreement, Lucent Technologies will supply its ATM equipment, which includes Lucent Technologies' GlobeView-2000(R) Broadband System and integrated management functionality. This will enable Telia to manage its entire ATM network from a central location. Lucent Technologies will also provide maintenance support to Telia.
