TAIPEI, Oct 16 Asia Pulse - A high-speed ferry was officially launched at Taiwan's Taichung Harbor Wednesday, paving the way for the opening of regular passenger and cargo ferry services between Taichung and Makong on Penghu Island later this month.
A host of honorary guests, including Vice President Vincent Siew's wife, Chu Chu-hsien, Taichung County Magistrate Huang Chung-sheng and Taichung City Mayor Jason Hu, attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for the high-speed OceanLaLa, owned by Excalibur International Marine Corp.
