CLIFTON, N.J.--Linens 'n Things has stepped into the upright vac business, promoting three Eureka models in its "Labor Day Savings" flier.
The vacs are being offered at about 80 stores nationwide, roughly half of the specialty chain's total stores.
"It's sort of a toe in the water," said Jane Gilmartin, vice president of merchandising, about the chain's move to offer uprights. "Vacuum cleaners are something people would expect to find in our type of shopping environment," she explained.
