MAYODAN, N.C. -- General Tobacco announced today a payment of $27 million, for the benefit of the States under the Master Settlement Agreement (MSA) as part of its commitment to the multi-state agreement by tobacco companies setting forth strict guidelines for tobacco marketing and advertising, as well as the finance of a $1.5 billion dollar anti-smoking education campaign.
