BALTIMORE(FNS)--Jos. A. Bank Mfg. Co. is listed as a creditor of After Six Ltd. for $538,688, and the chances of much of a payback on the claim appear slim.
Timothy Finley, chairman of the Hampstead, Md.-basedJos. A. Bank, said his company had already taken a write-off in the second quarter to cover the expected loss.
After Six and two affiliates filed Chapter 11 petitions on Sept. 17 in bankruptcy court here. In a motion seeking to use cash collateral to continue operating its business, the formalwear company noted that substantially all its assets were pledged against a $9 million bank loan from Bank of America Illinois.
