NEW YORK--Printed, striped, plain and textured, sheers will make an appearance not only in window treatments, but in unexpected places like table linens and decorative pillows, at the October home textiles market.
"Fabric is couture--a runway kind of thing. Sheers are a very trendy area at the moment," said Fame Fabrics' director of design, Judy Neu, who likened the company's new printed sheers to a chiffon scarf.
"The effect is more dressy," she said. "It really adds that extra beautiful thing that makes it look fresh. "
