CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Summit Properties Inc., one of the largest developers and operators of upscale multifamily apartment communities in the Southeast, announced today that it has purchased an additional 16 acres of land in order to expand Summit Plantation, a 262 apartment home community located in Plantation, Florida.
Summit Plantation II will include 240 apartment homes consisting of 42 one - bedroom, 120 two-bedroom and 78 three-bedroom homes. The total cost of the project will be approximately $22 million. Summit Plantation II is expected to begin leasing June, 1997 with project completion scheduled for December, 1997.
