SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 26, 1996--Trade, technology and tourism will continue to propel San Diego's growing economy, according to a Bank of America forecast released Thursday.

"After a painful restructuring, San Diego's resurgent economy is poised for considerable growth," said Howard Roth, Bank of America's director of regional economics. "What seems remarkable now is the relative speed with which the county shed its reliance on defense-related industries and made the move to a more diverse, knowledge-based economy."
