Interviews with three students in Kansas State University's financial planning program revealed that all of them had different motives for entering the profession.

Seniors Dustin Furrey and Jessica Heath each developed the desire to become financial planners after going through very different life experiences. One of the three, Samantha McGill, has even become a graduate student after finishing her financial planning degree.
