"The most common differential diagnoses for patients presenting with lip dermatitis or inflammation include atopic, allergic, and irritant contact dermatitis. Patch testing can be performed to identify the allergic contact conditions," scientists writing in the journal Dermatitis report (see also Contact Dermatitis).
