PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 1996--Sun International Hotels Ltd., the Bahamas-based resort and gaming company, announced Friday that is has acquired the 564-room Pirate's Cove Holiday Inn on Paradise Island, increasing its number of resort properties at the destination to four, and giving the company a total room count of 1,870 -- the highest in the Bahamas.
The changeover is effective immediately and the name of the hotel will now become the Pirate's Cove Beach Resort. The announcement was made by Sol Kerzner, Sun International's chairman and chief executive officer.
