DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 25, 1996--Southwest Airlines today announced the newest feature of its Rapid Rewards(SM) frequent flyer program -- the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Visa Card.

The card boasts the lowest introductory interest rate of any major airline card -- fixed 6.9% for the first six months -- and no annual fee for the first year. Cardmembers earn flight credits toward free travel on Southwest Airlines by simply using the card to make their everyday purchases. The card is issued by First USA Bank, the fourth largest provider of Visa and MasterCard services in the nation.
