BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 1996--Alabama National BanCorporation (Nasdaq/NM:ALAB) and FIRSTBANC HOLDING COMPANY, INC. today announced that the merger of FIRSTBANC with Alabama National has been completed. FIRSTBANC is the holding company for First Bank of Baldwin County, which will become the eighth bank or thrift owned by Alabama National.
First Bank is based in Robertsdale and has branches in Bay Minette and Daphne, Alabama. At June 30, 1996, First Bank had total assets of approximately $35 million, loans of $20 million, and deposits of $31 million.
