CLEVELAND, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Medusa Corporation (NYSE: MSA) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, The Thomasville Stone and Lime Company, incorporated under the laws of the State of Maryland and headquartered in Thomasville, Pennsylvania, has changed its name to Medusa Minerals Company, effective October 1, 1996.
Medusa Corporation includes Medusa Cement Company, Medusa Aggregates Company, Medusa Minerals Company and James H. Drew Corporation. Medusa has owned Medusa Minerals since 1974. This change reflects Medusa's commitment to growth in industrial minerals markets and taken advantage of the Company's extensive good will in the name Medusa.
