HOUSTON, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- In an unprecedented agreement that marks a new government/contractor approach to the management of America's Space Shuttle program, United Space Alliance (USA) and NASA today signed the Space Flight Operations Contract (SFOC) at the Johnson Space Center. The contract designates USA as the single prime contractor for Space Shuttle operations and gives USA authority to proceed with full operation of the SFOC effective October 1, 1996.
