"Sex Drive" didn't have to be any good at all. Pretty much anybody lured by the title knows what they're in for, a disposable teen sex comedy of the "American Pie" variety that mixes hard-R raunchy laughs with a sweet romance.

Credit co-writer and director Sean Anders, a DeForest native, for pushing to make a movie that's better than that. "Sex Drive" drags a little at times, especially at the end, but it's sometimes very funny, sometimes quite sweet, and always pretty likable throughout.
