PENNSAUKEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 3, 1996--J & J Snack Foods Corp. (NASDAQ:JJSF) announced Thursday that is has acquired the assets of Bakers Best Snack Food Corp. for an undisclosed amount of cash.
Bakers Best, located in Hatfield, Pa., is a soft pretzel manufacturer selling to both foodservice and retail supermarkets with annual sales of approximately $4 million.
Gerald B. Shreiber, J & J's president and chief executive officer, commented: "This acquisition is consistent with our goals to grow our business through both internal growth and strategic acquisitions."
